FC Lembeke from Kaprijke is an established name in East Flemish soccer. The club, founded in 1944, has more than 300 members and combines sporting ambition with a strong youth work force. There is a real village atmosphere at their club, but the need for professional, reliable lighting also became increasingly apparent.
The club knocked on Ecosports' door with a clear request: an energy-efficient solution that would illuminate the field evenly, without excessive brightness. Since this was a training field, 85 lux was more than enough to train comfortably.
Before an offer was made, Ecosports conducted an extensive, no-obligation lighting study. This way, FC Lembeke knew in advance exactly what light output they could expect, what the light distribution would look like and what the consumption would be.
The existing masts were found to still be perfectly safe and sturdy, so they were retained. Ecosports installed eight FS Pro fixtures, four of 720 watts and four of 960 watts. Due to the precise adjustment in the dark an exceptionally even light display was achieved. The result: a saving more than 50% on energy, with a lichthy quality that takes daily training comfort to the next level.
